Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology

Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at University Hospital Freiburg provides care for children and adolescents with blood diseases and tumors. The department is a member of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg and has various specialists among their medical staff as well as the latest most advanced diagnostics and therapeutics to provide the patients with the best treatment.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Charlotte Niemeyer, the department of pediatric hematology and oncology performs bone marrow transplantation and provides the appropriate post-operative care for patients. The research unit of this department is making some great efforts as it is in participation with the multicenter treatment trials of the Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and is also conducting studies on bone marrow transplantation from unrelated donors.

Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at University Hospital Freiburg is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
