Department of Hematology and Oncology at University Hospital Freiburg provides care for patients of all ages with blood and oncological diseases. The department offers inpatient and outpatient services as well as research and training courses for young doctors. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Justus Duyster, the department of hematology and oncology treats more than 3,300 inpatients every year with the latest diagnostics and therapeutics. The department has research activities that mainly focus on tumor immunology, stem cell transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, coagulation disorders, congenital and acquired blood diseases as well as tumors and the side effects of the therapy.
