Department of Urology
Department of Urology at University Hospital Tübingen provides conservative and surgical care for patients with diseases of the urinary and male genital systems. The department is a certified Prostate Cancer Center by the German Cancer Society and has been recognized by FOCUS Magazine as one of the best medical institutions in Germany in this field. The department is a member of the Southwest German Tumor Center for Genitourinary Tumors and works in cooperation with the urological specialists there to offer treatment of cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicles
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Arnulf Stenzl, the department treats over 2,700 inpatients every year. The andrology unit of the department works in close cooperation with the Fertility Center of the University's Gynecological Department and the Institute for Medical Genetics for the couple's health. The research unit of the department is working on many projects such as uro-oncology and laboratory for regenerative and reconstructive urology.
The Department of Urology at University Hospital Tübingen is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
