Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology at University Hospital Tübingen provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with urological diseases and conditions requiring surgery. The department is fully equipped with state-of-the-art surgical techniques and works in cooperation with the Departments of Pediatrics and Adolescence Medicine as well as Neonatology. A special feature of the department is the modern minimally invasive procedures, for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes of various acquired diseases and congenital malformations.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Jörg Fuchs, the department treats over 1,800 inpatients every year. The research unit of the department conducts researches for the management of various diseases such as nephroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma, and Hirschsprung’s disease.
