Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Intensive Care, and Pulmonology at University Hospital Tübingen provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with diseases of the heart and lungs. The department is in cooperation with the Departments of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology to ensure each patient gets optimal care designed specifically for them. The department is an established Center for acquired and congenital heart defects with supra-regional recognition and a wide catchment area.
With Prof. Dr. Med. Michael Hofbeck, the department treats over 700 inpatients every year, nearly 15% of which are patients with congenital malformation of the heart. The department offers Melody transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement making it one of the few German departments to perform such intervention. The department has a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory which is fully equipped with cutting-edge equipment such as biplane digital fluoroscopy and angiography system. This laboratory takes part in the diagnosis and treatment of nearly 300 patients annually.

The Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Intensive Care, and Pulmonology at University Hospital Tübingen is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
