Department of Nuclear Medicine

Department of Nuclear Medicine at University Hospital Tübingen provides diagnostics and therapeutics which are powered by radioactive substances. The department is fully equipped with the latest, cutting-edge equipment such as SPECT-CT, PET-CT for the diagnosis and early detection of tumors and thyroid diseases. Innovative therapy methods such as MIBG therapy for neuroendocrine tumors as well as Lu-177 PSMA radionuclide therapy for the treatment of prostatic tumors are conducted at the department.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Christian La Fougère, the department treats over 500 inpatients every year, more than half of which are thyroid patients. The department offers thyroid, myocardial, liver, brain, parathyroid, and renal scintigraphy for diagnostic purposes. It also offers radiation therapy for the treatment of all types of tumors.

The department is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
