Department of Visceral, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at University Hospital of Giessen and Marburg provides care for patients with diseases of the intestines, glands, lungs, abdominal wall, and blood vessels. The department is recognized as one of the top facilities in Germany by FOCUS Magazine as it has a high rate of success for transplantation surgeries in its specialized transplantation clinic. For its impressive results and achievements, the German Cancer Society has certified the facility as a Bowel Cancer, a Pancreatic Cancer, and Stomach Cancer Center. The medical staff has an experienced team of surgeons specialized in endocrine surgery for the treatment of thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, adrenal, and pancreatic diseases.
