The German Society of Infectology has certified the department as an Infectology Center due to its cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutics and excellent results in the treatment of all infectious diseases, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and HIV/AIDS in particular.
The department is considered the largest medical facility in the field of respiratory diseases in Germany, and has a remarkable reputation for successful kidney transplants as well as providing post-operative care for patients.
