Department of Otolaryngology at University Hospital of Giessen and Marburg provides care for patients with diseases of the ear, nose, and throat as well as surgical care for head and neck malignancies. The department achieved impressive results for patients in the fields of ear diseases, hearing impairment, tumors of salivary glands, and paranasal sinuses infections. The excellent medical staff of surgeons, physicians, and nurses offers conservative and surgical treatment for tumors of the head and neck and reconstructive interventions for traumatic diseases.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Gregor Wolf, the department treats more than 3,400 inpatients every year. Treatment of hearing disorders is also provided in the form of hearing aids, hearing implants, and cochlear implantation. The department is well-known for its success in facial nerve reconstruction and the treatment of salivary gland diseases, benign and malignant tumors in particular.
