Department of Oncology and Hematology at University Hospital of Giessen and Marburg provides care for patients with organ cancer and blood diseases. As a member of the Multidisciplinary Cancer Center, the department manages cancers of the internal organs, blood cancer, and progressive incurable pathologies according to the national and international standards of professional centers. The medical staff has achieved excellent results in the treatment of malignant pathologies of blood and lymphatic flow, especially lymphoma. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Friedrich Grimminger, the department treats about 4,000 inpatients every year, more than 700 of which are patients of lung fibrosis.
