The department utilizes these nuclear medicine approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid gland diseases as well as disorders and tumors of the nervous and respiratory systems. The latest diagnostics and therapeutics such as scintigraphy, PET-CT, CT, and beta emission therapy are offered to ensure optimal care for patients. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Dagmar Steiner, the medical staff performs more than 600 PET/CT examinations of the whole body and over 200 scintigraphy of the kidney every year.
