Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein offers the full range of conservative and surgical care for patients with diseases of the ear, nose, and throat as well as head and neck malignancies. The main focuses of the clinic are laser surgery, tumor surgery, middle ear surgery, and skull base surgery. The experienced, qualified team of surgeons offers hearing-enhancing options such as bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA) and cochlear implantation, performed in the Cochlear Implant Center Schleswig-Kiel. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Petra Ambrosch, the department treats over 4,000 patients every year, some of which sometimes need plastic surgery and/or speech therapy that are both performed by the department.
