Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery

The Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital Saarland provides care for all patients with injuries of regardless of the severity of the organ. This department uses edge-cutting medical technologies in treatments and has its research departments developing and monitoring new methods for diagnosis and therapy. 
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Tim Pohlemann, nearly 2,000 inpatients are treated in this department annually. The department works in collaboration with the Surgery Center, the University Hospital and the collaborating clinics of the region. It has specialized doctors and staff members to ensure the care provided to the patients is optimal care. Due to the national and international experienced staff of this department, all types of pelvis, spine, joint, hand and foot surgeries are performed to perfection.

The Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital Saarland is specialized in:
