Department of Orthopedics

Department of Orthopedics at the University Hospital Saarland offers care in the form of diagnosis and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Landgraeber, the department treats more than 1, 200 inpatients a year. Highly experienced surgeons and staff with state-of-the-art medical equipment ensure optimal care for patients requiring orthopedic surgeries
The experimental branch of this department is doing astounding activities, it has its own head of department Prof. Dr. med. Henning Madry for experimental orthopedics. The department also collaborates with the Department of Trauma Surgery for some specific studies.
