Department of Pediatric Surgery at University Hospital Jena provides surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital as well as acute and chronic acquired diseases. The department has an exceptional medical team with remarkable qualifications and experience in the treatment of congenital malformations and acquired infectious and inflammatory diseases requiring surgery.
The department works in close cooperation with the departments of General, Abdominal and Vascular Surgery as well as Neurosurgery and treats more than 1,000 inpatients under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Felicitas Eckoldt every year.
