Department of Pediatric Hand Surgery at Helios Hospital Berlin-Zehlendorf is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with diseases and injuries of the hand and wrist joints. The medical team has excellent and experienced surgeons in pediatric hand surgery to ensure patients get the best care available. The inpatient station of 34 beds is shared with the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology as it's customized to provide care around-the-clock for patients. The rooms are designed to help make the hospital stay easier for the children.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Natascha Zahran-Höynck, the Department of Pediatric Hand Surgery at Helios Hospital Berlin-Zehlendorf is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
- Surplus fingers and toes
- Fused fingers
- Underdevelopment of the thumb (thumb hypoplasia)
- Lacing ring syndrome of the arms and legs
- Congenital limitations of the hand mobility
