As a part of the Stuttgart Transplant Center, the department offers the full range of care for patients with kidney and high blood pressure disorders, including all types of renal replacement methods. The dialysis center is one of the first and most significant facilities of its kind in Germany as it has 32 treatment units where about 11,000 patients receive hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis annually, on both an outpatient and inpatient basis.
