Department of Oral, Maxillofacial, and Plastic Surgery

Department of Oral, Maxillofacial, and Plastic Surgery at Hannover Medical school provides care for the full spectrum of diseases in this field. The department focuses on the treatment of injuries, tumors, and inflammation of the face and jaw. 
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. med. dent. Nils-Claudius Gellrich, the department treats more than 1,750 inpatients a year of which over 200 patients need procedures to augment jaw bone and correct the deformities of facial and palate defects. 
Because of the state-of-the-art surgical equipment and the highly-experienced doctors, patients with head and neck malignant tumors seek the treatment at this department. The department is the world leader in reconstructive surgery for the orbital bones. Injuries and fractures to the orbital bones around the eyes are treated before it progresses to the displacement of the eye and vision impairment.

Department of Oral, Maxillofacial, and Plastic Surgery at Hannover Medical school is specialized in:
