The department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Endocrinology at Hannover Medical School has the latest equipment and the qualified staff to offer care for the entire spectrum of diseases affecting the stomach, intestine, liver, pancreas, adrenal and the rest of the glands.

This department treats diseases from common inflammation of the stomach to metabolic disorders caused due to glands disturbance by tumors and transplants. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. MP Manns, this department has more than 3,300 inpatients every year. More than 2500 patients seek the medical treatment of this department for the diagnosis of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, and intestines.
