Department of Cardiology and Angiology at Hannover Medical school has the latest equipment along with the qualified doctors and specialists needed to provide the best care for patients with diseases affecting their heart, blood, and lymphatic vessels.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. med. Johann Bauersachs, the department treats about 3,800 inpatients a year. The department has advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods to help the patients discover the disorders and prevent complications.
The department is certified as the training center for "Interventional Cardiology" by the German Society of Cardiology. It also treats patients with cardiac arrhythmia and those in need of intensive care. The department has the means to diagnose circulatory diseases through non-invasive methods.
