Department of Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Oncology at University Medical Center Göttingen offers inpatients and outpatients medical care for the full spectrum of diseases of the digestive tract, liver, pancreas as well as the endocrine glands. The German Cancer Society has certified the department for its success in the field of gastrointestinal tumors in all aspects; patient care, research as well as teaching.
The Gastrointestinal Oncology unit provides effective integration of the state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics in the interdisciplinary short-term oncology center (IKO) as it works in close cooperation with the Department of Genera, Visceral, and Pediatric Surgery under the roof of the Center for Visceral Medicine Tumor Therapy.
