Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Medicine at University Medical Center Göttingen provides care for inpatients and outpatients suffering from diseases of the nose, ear, and throat. The department is a modern facility that is equipped with the latest, cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutics to treat over 2,700 inpatients every year. The full range of treatment measures is offered, including botulinum toxin therapy, cochlear implants, skull base surgery, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The medical staff uses the DaVinci System to perform robot-assisted surgical procedures, such as transoral robot-assisted surgery (TORS) for the treatment of malignant tumors of the tongue and throat, under the supervision of Director Prof. Dr. Dirk Beutner. The efficient medical team consists of physicians, surgeons, resident doctors, phoniatry & pediatric audiology specialists as well as speech therapists to ensure experts care for patients.
