Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Allergology at University Hospital Würzburg provides care for patients with skin conditions, allergies, and sexually transmitted diseases. The department is one of the largest and oldest clinics of its kind in Germany and also well-known for its quality care as it’s certified by the DINO EN ISO 9001 for offering service on both an outpatient and inpatient basis in the outpatient clinics, diagnostic labs, and surgical suites, and inpatient general wards. The department is also an Allergy Center where allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, and eczema are treated.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Matthias Goebeler, the medical team treats 2,800 inpatients in the general wards and over 3,000 inpatients in the certified Skin Cancer Center every year. The department has state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics as well as surgical techniques in the Allergy Center and the Center for Bullous Autoimmune Dermatoses for the management of allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, eczema, as well as autoimmune skin diseases.
