Department of Dermatology and Allergology at University Hospital RWTH Aachen provides care for patients with all skin diseases including inflammatory, allergic, infectious, autoimmune and tumors. This department is established as a facility of maximum care and is in possession of the edge-cutting diagnostics and therapeutics. This department is known for its efforts and success in the field of skin cancer. The department has a specialized medical staff who have the experience needed to accurately diagnose diseases as well as develop a treatment plan suitable for each patient. In the field of aesthetic dermatology, this department is recognized as a well-established center in Germany.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Amir Yazdi, the department treats over 1,700 inpatients every year. The department also treats patients with allergic tendencies, reactions, and manifestations. Diagnostic tests are conducted to identify allergic substances and therapeutic measures are implemented. Educational content for patients and relatives is also offered in favor of decreasing hospital visits and improving the patient's day-to-day life. The department holds research studies on allergies and allergic reactions as well as skin tumors and psoriasis.

- Prof. Yazdi began his career as a Research Fellow at the University Hospitals in Munich and Tuebingen. This was followed by a scholarship from the German Research Foundation and the Marie Curie Scholarship at the Institute of Biochemistry, University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
- Since 2010, he worked in various positions and recently held the position of the Leading Senior Physician in the Department of Dermatology at the University Hospital Tuebingen, which is the largest dermatological medical facility in Germany.
- The clinical interests of Dr. Yazdi include the diagnostics and treatment of allergies, ultramodern imaging-guided surgical interventions, drug therapy, innovative treatment methods for patients with malignant and inflammatory skin diseases
