Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at University Hospital Mainz provides care for patients with rheumatic diseases affecting organs functions. The department is fully equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics for the management of rheumatological diseases. The department has a remarkable medical team of specialists, nurses, and physicians. The department is concerned with the enhancement of therapeutic measures.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Andreas Schwarting, the department treats more than 800 inpatients every year. The department's main focus is on the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis. It also offers physiotherapy and consultation sessions to improve the patient’s quality of life and adjustment with some diseases.
