Department of Nephrology and Dialysis

Department of Nephrology and Dialysis at University Hospital Mainz provides care for patients with congenital and acquired diseases affecting the kidneys. The department offers its service for the full range of kidney diseases, benign to malignant, acute to chronic and congenital to acquired. It also provides kidney transplantation along with pre and post-procedure monitoring and care. The department works in close cooperation with the Department of Urology to provide the patients with the best management plan.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Julia Weinmann-Menke, the department treats 1,450 inpatients every year. The department is also in collaboration with various Dialysis Centers to provide optimal care for more than 600 patients every year. Dr. Weinmann-Menke is one of the best specialists in her field of work and has done amazing achievements with the department.
