Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf provides surgical care for injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The department is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, hand, knee, pelvis, shoulder, and musculoskeletal tumors. The department treats more than 2,800 inpatients every year under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Karl-Heinz Frosch.
Department of Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery at University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf is established as a Center for Arthroscopic Surgery in the field of knee surgery for diseases as tendonitis, cartilage lesion, and ligament tears. The department offers the full range of surgeries from minimally invasive to cartilage transplantation and joint replacement. As for bone and soft tissue tumors, the department was able to earn an impressive reputation for successfully treating most of the musculoskeletal tumors.
