Department of Urology at University Hospital Cologne provides care for patients of all ages with diseases affecting the urinary system as well as the male genital system. The department offers the latest, state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics for inflammatory, neoplastic and degenerative diseases of the kidney, urinary bladder, urinary tract, prostate, and testicles.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Axel Heidenreich, the department treats nearly 2,500 inpatients every year. The main concerns of the department are bladder cancer, prostate cancer, urinary incontinence, renal and ureteral stones. The department is a member of the Continence and Pelvic Floor Center of the University Hospital of Cologne.
