Department of Pediatric Nephrology, Immunology, and Hypertension at University Hospital Cologne provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with kidney and immunity disorders. The facility has an ambulance, a regular station, and a dialysis station that works in cooperation with the Council for Dialysis and Kidney eV and is also a part of the Transplant Center of the University Hospital of Cologne.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Lutz T. Weber, the medical team works in close cooperation with the Pediatric Radiology department to reach the accurate diagnosis and best therapy options for each patient, including all types of renal replacement therapy. The department has achieved excellent results in the conservative and surgical treatment of renal-induced hypertension.
