Department of Neurosurgery at University Hospital Cologne has been certified as a Neuro-Oncology Cancer Center by the Center of Integrated Oncology as it provides surgical care needed by patients with neurological diseases.  Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Roland Goldbrunner, the medical team uses the latest equipment and tools to treat more than 2,800 inpatients every year as it works in cooperation with the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery to perform spine surgeries. The vascular neurosurgery unit has achieved excellent results in the fields of aneurysms, angioma, and intracranial hemorrhage.

The Department of Neurosurgery at University Hospital Cologne is specialized in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of:
