Department of Nephrology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and General Medicine at University Hospital Cologne provides care for patients with diseases affecting the urinary system, endocrine organs, as well as rheumatic disorders. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Thomas Benzing, the medical staff has achieved excellent results in the field of kidney and hypertensive diseases as it treats more than 2,250 inpatients there every year.
The department is a certified Hypertension Center DHL by the German Hypertension Association, the German Cancer Aid, the German Cancer Society, and the German Society of Nephrology. The rheumatological unit offers the full range of outpatient and inpatient care for systemic Erkankunge, systemic lupus erythematosus, and sarcoidosis.
