Department of Dermatology and Venereology at University Hospital of Cologne provides care for patients with diseases and tumors of the skin as well as sexually transmitted diseases. The department has special attention directed toward skin cancer as it's a part of the Center for Integrated Oncology where interdisciplinary therapeutic approaches are offered. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Thomas Krieg, the medical staff treats more than 2,300 inpatients every year, 600 of which are skin cancer patients.
The facility has also achieved impressive results in the fields of collagen diseases and scleroderma as it participates in clinical studies and is also a part of the German Network for Systemic Scleroderma Association.
