Department of Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology at University Hospital Bergmannsheil Bochum provides surgical care for patients with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The department is equipped with the most advanced diagnostics and therapeutics as well as the latest surgical techniques and research results to offer its inpatient and outpatient service for the full range of diseases of the skull, brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. The department also cooperates with other surgical departments such as the Departments of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery to offer the patients the most advanced and tailor-made treatment plan. It also works closely with the Department of Neurology for pre- and post-operative care. 
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med.
