Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery at the Schön Klinik Neustadt provides care for patients with diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The department offers the management of the full spectrum of injuries and disorders of the bones, muscles, ligaments, and joints. FOCUS Magazine has recognized the department as one of the leading orthopedic clinics in Germany. The department is also certified as an Endoprosthetic Center for Maximum Care by the EndoCert. The department offers artificial joint replacement, emergency care, reconstruction, and treatment of broken bones as well as sports medicine. The department is a modern institute that is trying to perform as many minimally invasive keyhole surgeries as possible. The department is also certified as a local trauma center by the Orthopedic Society. A special feature of the department is its Endo Aktiv Program for patients with an artificial hip or the knee joint. The department works in close cooperation with University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg-Eppendorf, St. Elisabeth Hospital Eutin, and Children's center Pelzerhaken in order to ensure the best care for all patients of all age and with any condition.
