The department has a specialized center for Physiotherapy, as early rehabilitation is one of the main focuses of the department.
This department is established as one of the best facilities for joint replacement in Germany by FOCUS Magazine. It’s a certified endoprosthesis center of maximum care as well as a spinal center. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Dieter Christian Wirtz, the department treats more than 2,200 inpatients in the orthopedics unit and about 1,800 inpatients in the traumatology unit.
