Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, and Immunology at University Hospital Stuttgart is one of the largest specialized centers in Germany to offer the latest diagnostics and therapeutics for blood malignancies as well as solid and soft tissue tumors.
Under the management of Prof. Dr. Stefan Bielack, the facility has gained the title of Children's Oncology Center with the Recommendation of the German Cancer Society. As a part of the European Reference Network for Pediatric Cancer and the ESMO Designated Center for Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care, the Children’s Oncology Center of Stuttgart has received the German Cancer Award for the year 2016 as a part of the German Cancer Center (SCC). The research unit is responsible for the study groups for osteosarcomas and soft tissue sarcomas of the Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.
