Department of Clinical Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at University Hospital Mannheim offers the latest radioactive-fueled diagnostics and therapeutics for the management of various diseases. The department provides a wide range of image-guided diagnostics such as MRI, CT, angiography, X-ray, and ultrasound. The department is in close cooperation with the Center for Vascular Anomalies, Breast Center Mannheim, Pelvic Floor Center Mannheim, Skin Cancer Center Mannheim as well as Center for Urologic Tumors Mannheim. The Department has conducted many research projects such as preventive and oncological imagine and molecular imaging under the guidance of Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Schönberg.The department provides special investigations such as cardio-CT, CT colonography, CT on bone density as well as dental CT. The department is a certified Competence Center for surgical diseases of the pancreas and also has the certification of the DRG Center and the German Cancer Society.
