Thieme Hagen In addition to many years of extensive experience in the entire spectrum of diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases, Prof. Thieme has specialized in glaucoma operations, retinal operations, trabeculectomies, and lens implants for a spectrum of patients of all ages. In recent years, he has placed a special focus on the treatment of glaucoma (glaucoma), especially in young patients. Prof. Thieme is involved in this area as a member of the board of the Glaucoma Section in the German Ophthalmological Society (DOG) and is active in the nationwide self-help initiative "Glaucoma in Children" to raise awareness among medical colleagues, Midwives, and healthcare facilities and to raise public awareness of symptoms of this condition in newborns.
