Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at University Hospital Heidelberg provides surgical care for patients with diseases affecting the blood vessels. The department has achieved excellent results in the fields of catheter procedures and hybrid surgeries, making it one of the most innovative medical facilities in Germany.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Dottmar Böckler, the staff treats more than 1,000 inpatients every year by using state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics. To ensure optimal care for patients of vascular diseases, the surgeons work in close cooperation with cardiologists, neurologists, and diabetologists.
The Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at University Hospital Heidelberg is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of:
