Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, Immunology, and Pulmonology at University Hospital Heidelberg provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired blood vessels, lung, and autoimmune diseases. The department is one of the pioneering facilities of its field in Germany and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Andreas Kulozik treats more than 1,500 patients every year, many of which are leukemia patients.
The department is involved in the Hopp Children’s Tumor Center Heidelberg and the Cystic Fibrosis Center and also works in close cooperation with the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neuroradiology, Radiation Therapy, and Pediatric Neuro-Oncology to ensure optimal care for patients along with psychological support.
