Department of Dermatology at University Hospital Heidelberg provides care for patients with infectious, allergic, and neoplastic skin diseases. The department is one of the pioneering dermatological facilities and was the first center in Germany to be certified by the German Cancer Society for its efforts in the field of skin cancer.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Alexander Enk, the department runs the Skin Cancer Center of the University Hospital Heidelberg, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant skin tumors. The department works in cooperation with the Departments of General Surgery, Phototherapy, and Radiology and is also involved in the National Center for Tumor Diseases, all to widen the spectrum of diseases and ensure optimal care for the patients.
