Department of Pediatric Surgery at University Hospital Halle (Saale) provides surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents with conditions requiring surgeries. The department offers the full range of surgical correction of different injuries and malformations. It is also a member of the Trauma Network Saxony-Anhalt and also holds the name of the Reference Center for Pediatric Traumatology.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Martin Kaiser, the department treats more than 2,000 inpatients every year. The department works in close cooperation with the departments of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, and Orthopedics to provide each patient with the management plan that’s tailor-made for them by the extraordinary medical staff.
