Department of Neurology at University Hospital Halle (Saale) provides care for patients with neurological and neuromuscular diseases. The department directs remarkable attention and efforts towards their certified Stroke Unit. The state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapeutics are offered for rapid detection and treatment of neurological diseases with the least amount of complications. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Stephan Zierz, the department treats more than 1,700 inpatients every year, 300 of which are diagnosed and treated for a stroke. Other diseases such as neuromuscular, cerebrovascular and movement diseases are also treated by the exceptional medical staff of the department.
