Department of General Pediatrics
Department of General Pediatrics at University Hospital Halle (Saale) provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with general pediatric diseases. The department works in close cooperation with the Departments of Internal Medicine, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and Dermatology and Venereology to provide the patient with an individual treatment plan. The department is also a part of the medical center of Pediatrics and Human Genetics.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med Ralph Grabitz, the department treats more than 3,500 inpatients every year. The department has special attention directed towards Cystic Fibrosis as the department treats more than 100 cystic fibrosis patients annually.
