Department of Nuclear Medicine at University Hospital Cologne provides cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutics fueled by radioisotopes for the management of thyroid diseases, prostate cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and dementia, such as scintigraphy, PET-CT, SPECT-CT & MRI, radioiodine therapy, echo therapy, and chemotherapy.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Alexander Drzezga, the medical team treats nearly 1,000 inpatients every year as it works within the Thyroid Center of the University Hospital of Cologne. The facility offers new diagnostics for prostate cancer such as PSMA-PET-CT and the latest therapeutics like Xofigo, quadrant, and lutetium-177-PSMA.
