The Department of Radiotherapy and Radio-oncology at the university hospital of Ulm is the largest radiation therapy facility in the Ulm region. The department is the part of "Comprehensive Cancer Center Ulm", which is funded by the German Cancer Aid.
About 1,500 patients are treated at the department each year, 85% outpatient and 15% inpatients per year. The clinic is equipped with modern technical equipment and applies new innovative radiological techniques in the treatment of complex medical conditions
The department of Radiotherapy and Radio-oncology at the university hospital of Ulm offers radiological treatment for the following diseases:

- Head and neck tumors
- Brain Metastases
- Head and neck tumors
- Tumors of the respiratory tract and lungs
- Esophageal tumors
- Cervical tumors
- Rectal tumors
- Anus tumors
- Vaginal and uterine tumors
- Tumors of the upper gastrointestinal tract
