Department of Neurourology at the Neurological Rehabilitation Center Godeshöhe Bonn provides the full spectrum of medical care for patients with functional disorders of urological organs of a neurological root. Even though this area of medicine is still new, the department has already shown impressive results and achievements. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Med. Ruth Kirschner-Hermanns, the medical staff successfully treated nine out of 10 patients with bladder dysfunction. The department offers state-of-the-art technology and techniques for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes such as urodynamic procedures, urologic X-rays, all types of urine tests, incontinence examinations, and the Biofeedback system. The research unit of the department is concerned with clinical studies on the treatment of the urinary incontinence accompanying multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, dementia, and stroke.
