Department of Vascular Surgery

Department of Vascular Surgery at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital provides care for patients with blood vessel diseases requiring surgical intervention. The department performs the full spectrum of surgeries, from minimally invasive to complex open procedures. The Vascular Surgery department is at the Großhadern building. It has been certified by the German Society of Vascular Surgery, the German Roentgen Society and the German Society of Angiology. 
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Nikolaos Tsilimparis, the department performs more than 700 vascular operations every year. The modern equipment, highly experienced doctors and workers of the nursing staff ensure optimal care for patients.

Department of Vascular Surgery at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital is specialized in shunt surgery, installation of the dialysis catheter system and the diagnosis and surgical intervention of:
