Department of Pulmonology at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital provides care for patients with infections, inflammation, allergic reactions and tumors related to the respiratory tract. Special attention of the department is directed towards lung cancer. In cooperation with specialized departments as oncology and radiotherapy departments, a custom-made management plan for patients with lung cancer is developed for the best outcome.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Juergen Behr, the department treats more than 2,000 inpatients every year. The department works in close cooperation with Asklepios-Fachkliniken München-Gauting hospital to ensure high-quality care to their patients.
Department of Pulmonology at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital is specialized in lung transplantation and the diagnosis and treatment of:
