Department of Dermatology and Allergology

Department of Dermatology and Allergology at Ludwig-Maximilian University Hospital provides care for patients with skin, allergic and venereal diseases. The dermatology building is 8-storeys high and serves as a model for hospital architecture. 
The department is in cooperation with München Thalkirchner Straße Clinic, the biggest skin clinic in Europe. This association is the largest dermatology inpatient care center in all of Europe. It provides care for more than 11,000 patients annually.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Med. Lars French, the department treats about 6,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients every year. 50 highly experienced professional doctors and over 300 experienced nursing staff members are provided with the advanced equipment for diagnosis and treatment of complex dermatological conditions to ensure optimal care for patients.
